1. Eligibility
  • Open to all participants, regardless of experience level.
  • Participants may work individually or in teams.
  • All team members must meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Teams are limited to a maximum of 4 people.
2. Registration
  • All participants must register through the official hackathon platform.
  • There is no registration deadline; participants can register until the hackathon ends.
3. Hackathon Period
  • Start: Saturday, July 6, 2024 12pm EST
  • End: Sunday, July 7, 2024, 12pm EST
4. Submission Requirements
  • Deadline: All submissions must be received by 12pm EST on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
  • Required components: a. GitHub repository link containing all project code b. Demo video (maximum 3 minutes) showcasing the project and its features c. Brief project description (maximum 250 words)
5. Project Guidelines
  • All projects must be built using NextJS.
  • Projects must be new and created during the hackathon period. Previous projects are not allowed.
  • Participants are encouraged to explore and implement as many NextJS features as possible.
6. Judging Criteria
  • Number of NextJS features utilized
  • Creativity and effectiveness of feature implementation
  • Code quality and best practices
  • Overall project coherence and functionality
7. Intellectual Property
  • Participants retain full ownership of their submissions.
  • By submitting, participants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use their submission for promotional purposes.
8. Code of Conduct
  • All participants are expected to adhere to the hackathon's code of conduct, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
9. Disqualification
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any submission that violates these rules or the spirit of the hackathon.
10. Prize Distribution
  • Winners will be announced on Devpost, LinkedIn, and Discord.
  • Prizes: $120 total prizes. 1st receives $20, 2nd receives $10, $5 receives all in travel reimbursements
11. Rule Changes
  • The organizers reserve the right to update these rules if necessary. Any changes will be communicated to all participants promptly.
